Look II is the third statue for which we have provided an architectural service.
'Look II' by internationally acclaimed artist Sir Antony Gormley was part of The Box's ambitious contemporary art programme for its inaugural year in 2020 and has also been used to commemorate Mayflower 2020.
Look II was installed on the West Foreshore of Plymouth Hoe, on the site where Sir Francis Chichester landed in 1967 as the first person, and fastest circumnavigator, to sail single-handed around the world.
It is a twice life size anthropomorphic cast iron sculpture comprising of 22 individual iron blocks, cast as one singular element. It will remain as part of The Box's permanent art collection.
